Honda X-Blade Unveiled At Auto Expo 2018

Only recently Honda unveiled the X-Blade at Auto Expo 2018 and today the company has announced bookings for the new 160cc motorcycle across all Indian dealerships. The company is yet to disclose the booking amount but has announced that the motorcycle will be priced below Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is definitely a strong reason for you to go ahead and block one.
Elaborating on the announcement of X-Blade bookings commencement, Mr Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Honda unveiled its 4th brand new model of 2018 – the X-Blade at Auto Expo 2018. We are indeed very excited to receive an unprecedented response from Generation Z. We are happy to open the bookings for all-new Honda X-Blade today. Delighting Young Indian trendsetters with revolutionary segment first features, Honda’s ultimate head turner X-Blade will surprise Indian youth with its aggressive price of under 79,000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The X-Blade deliveries will start from the middle of March on the first-come-first-serve basis.”
The Honda X-Blade sports a rugged and sharp design with muscular fuel tank extensions, a dual outlet muffler and a unique headlamp design. At the front, the X-Blade gets a full LED headlamp which sits above the digital instrument cluster, while the rear gets LED tail lamps. The XBlade gets a single saddle unit instead of split-seats.
Powering the Honda X-Blade is a 162.71cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 14PS of power at 8500rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6000rpm. This motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The X-Blade is based on a diamond type frame and gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 276mm disc brakes at the front and 130mm drum brakes at the rear. It is equipped with a 12-litre fuel tank and tips the scale at 140kg (kerb).
The Honda X-Blade comes in five different colours - Metallic Blue, Pearl Black, Matte Silver, Pearl Red and Matte Green. When launched, it will go up against the Hero Xtreme Sports and the Suzuki Gixxer.
