Hyundai did itself a world of good by opting to be the official automotive partner of the historic 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, as Team India won the World Cup for a second time.
As a token of its appreciation, the Korean car maker has gifted each member of the Indian World Cup winning squad with a new Verna that was launched in India a little over a month ago. This stylish new sedan featuring the company’s new fluidic design language, has already received over 21,000 bookings since launch.
So while some of you may be waiting for the delivery of the car, two key contributors to India’s World Cup win, Virender Sehwag and Piyush Chawla have been handed the keys to their new Vernas at a ceremony in Delhi.
SLIDEHOW:
On the occasion, Arvind Saxena, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMIL, said, “It gives us immense pleasure to present the members of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 winning team with the all-new Verna, that bears Hyundai’s new fluidic design philosophy and offers best-in-class design, quality and technology. “
HMIL plans to organise similar ceremonies to hand over the new Verna to other members of Team India in their respective home states
