India Bike Week

Yes, the India Bike Week is Asia’s largest gathering of motorcycling enthusiasts. Yes, Goa plays the perfect host for an extravaganza of such kin and the reason for it is not a big secret. But the India Bike Week is more than just that. And this year, it has quite some surprises in store for you.

Headlining the India Bike Week this year will be the Moto Trials Show with the undisputed King of Trials Dougie Lampkin flaunting his skill on two-wheels. This is the first time the trials biking legend will make his way to India Bike Week. Another in his league will be India Dakar hero, CS Santosh. The Bangalore lad has gained the reputation of being the finest off-road racer in the country and also became the first Indian to participate in Dakar last year. Sharing his experience with enthusiasts, CS Santosh will host the Ceat Safety Session for the crowd.

The IBW 2016 is also set to host India’s first ever official Hard Enduro event as the Dirty20 Enduro Challenge. The official endure challenge will be open for amateur Moto Cross teams to participate with the winner standing a chance to get a cash prize of Rs 75,000.

While the focus at India Bike Week this year remains undeterred towards motorcycling, it will now have an artistic element to it. IBW will feature its first ever film festival that will feature profound travel films from across the globe. Movies showcased will be featured across three categories, namely Heels on Wheels (films highlighting unique take on women riders), Milestories (travel & adventure films beyond biking experiences) and Two-wheeler Talkies (films based around the passion of motorcycles and a love for the roads). The event will be judged by esteemed individuals from the filmmaking fraternity including Bollywood Director Imtiaz Ali.

Where there are bikers, there is music. The India Bike Week 2016 will also see artists like Midival Punditz, The Other People, Thaalavattam and Soulmate. With an exciting lineup of events that we have never experienced before with lots of like minded junta for company, the India Bike Week 2016 promises to be more exciting than ever.
