Jaguar has launched yet another locally assembled car in India. Earlier this year, Jaguar India had introduced the ‘Made in India’ Jaguar XJ 3.0-litre Diesel LWB and now the car maker has launched another variant of the luxury saloon - the Jaguar XJ 2.0-litre Petrol LWB Portfolio, priced at Rs 93.24 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai). Powering the car will be a new 2.0-litre i4, turbocharged petrol engine with a maximum power output of 240PS at 5,500rpm and maximum torque of 340 Nm at 1,750rpm.
Rohit Suri, Vice President, Jaguar Land Rover, India said, “We are excited to introduce the locally manufactured Jaguar with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, a first in its segment, at an attractive price point. The recently launched XJ 3.0L Diesel received an overwhelming response from customers across India. The introduction of the all-new 2.0L petrol engine is keeping in mind our endeavour to broaden the appeal of this fabulous car to customers who are more inclined towards driving a car with a powerful petrol engine at its heart.”
The new Jaguar XJ features a range of interior features focused on the rear cabin of the car, including electrically adjustable rear seats with massage function, increased rear headroom, Rear Seat Entertainment with two 10.2-inch LCD screens, electric rear side window blinds, soft door close, 825-Watt Meridian Surround Audio System, LED reading lights in the rear and newly designed business tables.
