Volvo to launch S60 T6 Petrol in June

Infosys bagged a contract from Volvo cars to provide application development services for the Swedish car manufacturer’s global operations. The Bangalore-based IT services company has been working with Volvo Cars since 2010 to rationalize and integrate its enterprise systems.
The IT major issued a statement that under this multi-year contract Infosys will develop technology applications to support Volvo's marketing and sales, customer service, manufacturing and product development functions. Infosys will also deploy best practices specifically related to business process harmonisation, and delivery excellence across transformation projects.

Over the past few years most of the vehicle manufacturers such as Volvo, Audi, Mercedes, Toyota and BMW are partnering with technology vendors such as Nokia, Apple, Microsoft and Google to come up with in-built connected vehicle platform to make driving a safe and exciting affair. Volvo joined hands with Infosys in 2010 to develop integrated connected vehicle solution that would help reduce accident rates and ensure safety of its passengers.
