While syncing your phone through Bluetooth with your car stereo system is slowly becoming the norm, the majority of systems installed in cars don’t offer this feature. To answer that predicament, Jabra has introduced the Jabra TOUR in car speaker that effortlessly syncs with your phone via Bluetooth and allows you an array of features. It’s convenient, easy to use, however at Rs 6490/- it is a little pricey.
The Jabra TOUR is essentially a 3 watt speaker that offers great voice quality and comes with a HD voice microphone to optimize the sound and speech quality. The speaker can also be used to playback music, podcasts and directions from GPS systems, however the sound quality while playing music isn’t up to the mark as the speaker doesn’t offer much bass; after all its primary purpose is voice clarity.
The speaker can connect up to two users simultaneously, which is a decent feature for families as you don’t have to keep syncing your phone with the speaker. Weighing just 135 grams, it has an inbuilt battery that allows up to 20 hours of talk-time and 45 days of standby time. Charging the unit is easy thanks to the universal car charger that fits into the car lighter socket. It also comes with a micro-USB cable that allows you to charge the device through your laptop or PC in the convenience of your office or home.
With more and more manufacturers offering similar systems inbuilt in their vehicles via the in car entertainment unit, the Jabra TOUR does have stiff competition. Having said that though, it does have its merits of being a convenient and easy to use instrument. Our only major grouse with the system however is its pricing which we feel is too high for such a speaker.
