Jaguar India has commenced pre-launch bookings for its first electric SUV, the i-PACE, with deliveries likely to commence from March 2021. You can reserve one at your nearest Jaguar showroom. It’ll be offered in three variants: S, SE and HSE. We expect prices to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The i-PACE has a well-established charging network in India thanks to Jaguar’s tie-up with Tata Power which has established 200-plus stations across 23 cities. The electric SUV can be charged at any of these stations. Tata Power will also be responsible for providing customers with the 7.4kW wall box charger (included in the package) that will be installed at a location of their convenience.
Another brownie point for the i-PACE is the inclusion of a five-year complimentary service and roadside assistance along with the standard 8-year/1,60,000 km battery warranty for added peace of mind.

The Jaguar i-PACE is propelled by twin electric motors developing a combined output of 400PS and 696Nm right from the word go. Power is channelled to all four wheels and it does 0-100kmph in a blisteringly quick 4.8 seconds with top speed capped at 200kmph. The electric motor draws power from a 90kWh battery pack. The i-PACE has a WLTP-claimed range of 470km.

The Jaguar i-PACE will be brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU) meaning it won’t come cheap. We expect prices to start around the Rs 1 crore mark (ex-showroom). It will take on the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the upcoming Audi e-tron.
