If you have had your eyes set on the upcoming Jaguar I-Pace, you’ll have to wait a tad bit longer as the launch has been postponed from March 9 to March 23. Set to become India’s second luxury EV after the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the Jaguar I-Pace will be brought as a full-import and is likely to be priced around Rs 1 crore. It will be offered in three variants: S, SE, and HSE.
The all-electric SUV will be sold at 22 outlets across 19 cities. Jaguar has also installed over 35 chargers across these 22 outlets. Pre-launch bookings had already begun in November 2020. The I-Pace will usher in a new era for JLR in India, as it will be the brand’s first electric offering. Thanks to its tie-up with Tata Power, charging the I-Pace should be a breeze. After all, Tata’s extensive charging network comprises over 200 stations across 23 cities. Tata Power will also be responsible for providing the 7.4kW wallbox charger.
The I-Pace will be propelled by twin electric motors developing 400PS of power and 696Nm of torque. While it is not as powerful as the EQC, the I-Pace benefits from a larger battery pack, and therefore, has better range of the two. Here are the detailed specifications:
