Jeep is not your typical no-nonsense, always serious car manufacturer. Need proof? Look around any Jeep product!
Jeep Compass Easter Eggs

Great minds think alike and 'easter eggs' have been used throughout mankind's history to convey messages between people; sometimes even between complete strangers. Whether it be a single dot in a very popular game revealing the name of the designer (in contravention of company rules of no credits given to game designers), or the recurring alpha-numeric code in movies made by a popular animation firm or, in this case, details in a car which relay a message.

The Jeep Compass, which we have had a brief look at recently, has hidden messages all around it. Most of them have some meaning, others are there just because the designers got bored and were able to convince everyone in the company to play along. Here are some of the Easter Eggs we noticed in the Jeep Compass during a drive event in Goa and we are sure we just scratched the surface.

Where's Willys?

Jeep is proud of its history - which began with the Willys MB. The classic Willys face is so popular with enthusiasts that a throwback to it is seen in every modern Jeep product. Open the rear hatch of the Jeep Compass and there's a small Willy's face stamped on the left side of the latch. If you look up, you may notice the hard-to-miss bigger version of this on the panel below the rear windshield. A very easy to miss Willys face imprint is on the gearstick sock button. If you ever sit on the left rear passenger seat and reach down to the bottle holder on the door pad, you may also notice a small Willys face imprint there.

Eeeek!

The Jeep Compass has aerodynamic front windshield wipers; unlike normal wipers which tend to lift at higher speeds, these stick to the surface and wipe the screen evenly. A gecko/lizard is part of the plastic mould at the base of the front windshield. This could be Jeep trying to draw comparisons between the lizard/gecko and the Compass - both are known for their all-terrain abilities.

A case of the love for the appreciation of legendary creatures. The silhouette of the Loch Ness Monster can be seen emerging from the black surround decals on the rear windshield.

America!

Brand Jeep has so much of USA etched in its history that it would have been criminal if Jeep designers did not pay homage to it. There are vent-like structures on the C-pillar inside the Jeep Compass and if you look closely at the one on the right is actually a take on the American flag, replete with the 'Star and Stripes'.
