Jeep has introduced a new Anniversary Edition for the Compass in India at Rs 25.26 lakh (ex-showroom). The American carmaker entered the Indian market in 2016 and is celebrating its eighth anniversary on our shores with this new launch. This edition sits between the Longitude (O) and Limited (O) variants and commands a marginal premium over the variant on which it is based. We’ve broken down the details in-depth in the next section.
Longitude (O) |
Anniversary Edition |

Starting Price (ex-showroom) |
Rs 24.83 lakh |
Rs 25.26 lakh (+ Rs 43,000) |
The Compass Anniversary Edition commands a premium of Rs 43,000 over the Longitude trim’s manual option. Here’s what you get for the extra dough:
Cosmetic tweaks made to the Compass Anniversary Edition are minor, but surely noticeable. It features a dual-tone black and red hood decal with ‘Anniversary Edition’ mentioned on it. Besides that, one of its seven-slot grille gets a velvet red finish. And that’s about the changes made to the outside.
Step inside and you’ll notice that the cabin also gets more vibrant with red seat covers.
Moving on from the design bits, you also get a few additions in terms of features. It now has an integrated dashcam and white ambient lighting over the Longitude variant.

Apart from these additions, It will continue to have all the features from the Longitude variant like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch multi-info display, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, second-row AC vents and auto-folding ORVMs.
On the safety bit, you see features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX and a rear camera with parking sensors.
There are no changes made under the Compass’ hood. It still gets powered by a 2-litre diesel engine that has a 170 PS and 350 Nm output. This setup is coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The Jeep Compass is a premium mid-size SUV that rivals competitors like the Hyundai Tucson, VW Tiguan and Citroen C5 Aircross.
