Jeep India Celebrates 4x4 Month With Discounts On Compass

Globally, Jeep celebrates April 4, which is the 4th day of the 4th month, as ‘International Jeep 4x4 Day’. But in India, Jeep has chosen this day to kick off the first 'Jeep 4x4 Month’. Starting today, the American SUV maker is offering the Limited 4x4 variant of the Compass at just a premium of Rs 50,000 over the Limited 4x2 diesel. The Limited 4x4 currently costs Rs 21.18 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 1.97 lakh more than the 4x2 Limited variant. Availing this offer would save you a massive Rs 1.47 lakh!

This is a limited time offer, though, and can be availed across India from April 4 to April 30. Considering that you not only get the 4x4 tech, but also side and curtain airbags for just Rs 50,000 more, this is a hard to miss deal.

Alongside this offer, Jeep will also run a 4x4 driving camp for brand experience where potential customers and enthusiasts can come and experience Jeep's capabilities in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad. The Jeep Compass has had a good run in the country with the domestic sales now nearing the 20,000 mark.

The 4x4 variant of the Compass is only available with the 2.0-litre diesel engine. It makes 173PS of max power and 350Nm of peak torque. The petrol (on the 4x2), on the other hand, is a 1.4-litre turbocharged unit which produces a healthy 162PS of power and 250Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual is available with both engines but the petrol gets an optional 7-speed dual-clutch auto as well.
