For 2019, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 gets no new changes apart from a new black colour that Kawasaki calls Metallic Flat Spark Black. It is priced the same as the MY 18 blue Ninja 650 that will also be sold till stocks last. At Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it costs Rs 20,000 less than the MY 19 Ninja 650 KRT edition that gets the Kawasaki’s racing team livery. Bookings for the black bike are now underway at all Kawasaki showrooms across India.
The Ninja 650 received a major update in 2017. It got sharper styling and a new frame that made it lighter and more capable dynamically. The performance also received a boost despite marginal engine updates owing to the lighter weight. (Read our first ride review here). MY19 Ninja 650 in black launched in India
India Kawasaki announces a launch of MY19 Ninja 650 in metallic flat spark black colour. With this launch, India Kawasaki now has three options in Ninja 650. Last year Ninja 650 was introduced in KRT edition and in blue colour edition, which was sold with a great success.
Speaking on the new addition, Mr Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, said “With this launch, we are continuing a string of MY19 launches in India. In the 650cc category, we have four distinct motorcycles and Ninja 650 is one of them. We have observed a very stable demand for Ninja 650 in India as it comes with an attractive price. I hope our Ninja 650 in metallic spark black achieves the same success as the other variants have.”
Powerful parallel twin engine with DOHC, 8 valve system and nimble handling have been the main forte of Ninja 650 always. Besides to give a versatility for daily riding or long touring, Ninja 650 has an upright riding position, low seat height and manageable power delivery. The features like ABS, Economical Riding Indicator, Assist and Slipper Clutch etc. give a boost to sporty riding excitement.
MY19 Ninja 650 standard is available for INR 549,000 ex-showroom Delhi, while the prices of Ninja 650 KRT edition is INR 569,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. MY19 Ninja 650 is available in black and KRT edition and Ninja 650 in blue colour belongs to MY18. The bookings of MY19 Ninja 650 are open and customers can visit their nearest dealership for booking.
