Kawasaki has launched a special edition of the Z800 in India on the occasion on completing 120 years in existence. The bike gets a unique limited edition paint job which comprises of blue, white and red graphics on black. This new livery makes the Z800 distinct from the standard one. Surprisingly, the Japanese bikemaker is not charging any additional cost for this special edition paint scheme. The special edition bike will be priced at Rs 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is similar to the standard Z800.
Besides the special paint job, no mechanical updates have been done to the Z800 special edition. The bike is powered by the same tried and tested 806cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine which is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. The motor churns out 113PS of power and 83Nm of peak torque. The Z800 is one of the best performing middleweight naked machines in its segment.
The bike also features a modern and sporty chassis with beefy 41mm inverted front forks and a gas-charged rear shock with piggyback reservoir, step less rebound damping and preload adjustability. The bike gets fat tubeless tyres (120/70 front and 180/55 rear). Dual 310mm front and a 250mm rear petal disc with ABS as standard make the braking more efficient for such a naked and lightweight bike.
