Kia is gearing up for a ‘big announcement’ on April 27.
The event could include updates for the Seltos.
It could also see the new logo’s physical debut in India on the Seltos.
According to their strategy in India, Kia will introduce a new model every 6 months.
Kia is preparing for a ‘big announcement’ on April 27. While that’s all we know for now, it leaves a lot of space for speculation. Kia had earlier announced that its new logo will debut on its models starting with the Seltos in India, which if we have guessed right, should receive some updates in the form of a new variant or additional features. As it has been over a year and a half since the Seltos was launched back in August 2019.
If we go by Kia’s announcement of something ‘big’ happening on April 27, what could be bigger than something involving its best-selling model, right? The Seltos could get updates in the form of a new trim, like the chic-looking Gravity trim that debuted in Korea last year, that included a revamped grille, additional safety features, and a refreshed interior shade. Like its cousin, the Hyundai Creta, the Seltos could also get a panoramic sunroof.
The Korean carmaker debuted its new logo globally earlier this year, but it is yet to debut in India. It resembled a hand-written signature and came with a new brand slogan: ‘Movement that inspires.’ The logo could now physically arrive in India along with whatever updates Kia might have in store for the Seltos.
Kia could also take this opportunity to announce its next model for India according to their business plan, which states that a new model will be introduced in India every six months. The last model to be launched by Kia was the Sonet, in September 2020, almost six months earlier.
Kia’s lineup currently consists of the Seltos, a compact SUV; the Sonet, a subcompact SUV; and the Carnival MPV.
