The Anniversary Edition gets orange accents in the front, specific badging at the rear, and revised skid plates at the front, side and rear.
Inside, it gets blacked-out finishing, instead of the dual-tone black-beige colour scheme in the HTX.
It will feature the same features and powertrain options as the HTX variants - 1.5-litre petrol and diesel with petrol-automatic option.
The special edition will be limited to just 6,000 units.
It commands a premium of Rs 41,000 over the HTX variant it’s based on.
Kia is celebrating the first anniversary of its debut car in the country, the Seltos. To make the celebrations a bit more exciting, it has launched a special edition of the compact SUV. The Anniversary Edition is based on the HTX trim and gets a few extra touches. The HTX variant sits just behind the HTX+ top-spec variant in the HT Line of the Seltos.
Priced at a premium of Rs 41,000 over the HTX variant, the special edition gets one monotone and three dual-tone options: Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey/Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver/Aurora Black Pearl, and Glacier White Pearl//Aurora Black Pearl.
The most prominent addition is that of orange accents on the fog lamp surrounds, faux exhaust surrounds, and the hub caps. It gets blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels and a ‘1st Anniversary Edition’ badge on the tailgate. The redesigned skid plates at the front and rear have increased the length of the special edition by 60mm.

Inside, the blacked-out finishing can be found on the door pads, the leather upholstery, and the soft-touch leather trim on the dashboard. On a disappointing note, the Anniversary Edition doesn’t get any of the top-spec features, but only those offered in the HTX. While this means you’ll still get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, air purifier, and LED headlamps and tail lights, you’ll miss out on the 8-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, 7-inch MID, and a wireless charger.
Under the hood, the Anniversary Edition gets the same powertrain options offered in the HTX - a 115PS 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both will be offered with a manual transmission as standard but only the petrol engine gets the option of an automatic gearbox as seen in the HTX.
The Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition will be a limited edition with only 6,000 units on sale. So, if you’re in the mood to join the celebrations, we’d suggest you make a move at the earliest. The Seltos has been a highly successful model in the hotly contested compact SUV segment, facing competition from the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector and Tata Harrier.
