Eyeing the Kia Seltos? We suggest you head to your nearest Kia dealer as soon as possible as the Korean manufacturer is set to increase prices of the Seltos on January 1. Our sources have informed us that the prices could increase by Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 depending on the variant. A leaked document, which surfaced online recently, has revealed the various terms and conditions of the price hike. It states that any customer, irrespective of whether they have booked the SUV or not, taking delivery of their vehicle post January 1 will be entitled to pay the difference in price at the dealership. This means if you book the car right now and take delivery of it next year, you need to pay the new price of the SUV. It also states that all dealers should ensure speedy delivery to avoid a backlog of orders. Currently, the Kia Seltos is priced from Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom India).
The Seltos can be had in two trim levels - the HT Line and GT Line - with a total of eight variants. The GT Line is the sportier looking variant and comes with its own distinguishing elements like red brake callipers and inserts and dual-tone alloy wheels.
Noted features in the Seltos include a 10.25-inch infotainment system with UVO connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, a single-zone climate control, Bose sound system, Kia’s Sound Mood Lighting, wireless phone charger, ventilated seats as well as a sunroof. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, a blind view monitor, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Under the hood, the Kia Seltos can be had with three BS6-compliant powertrains and four transmission options. The three powertrains include a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel and petrol options. Have a look at their specifications below:

The manufacturer sold 12,850 units in October, dethroning its primary rival, the Hyundai Creta. Primary rivals for the Seltos include the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500.
