That is one massive table and yes, the Seltos offers all the features that are available with the Hyundai Venue and its BlueLink. UVO Connect, similar to BlueLink, also comes with a free subscription for the first three years. Apart from this there is also UVO Lite, a Bluetooth-based remote control mobile app to control the audio and video.
It also comes with AI Voice Command feature that recognises Indian English accent. The feature can be used for calls, date and time, navigation, media controls, weather information and temperature or blower speed controls.
The whole list of features are split up into 5 main categories: Navigation, Safety and Security, Vehicle Management, Remote Control, and Convenience. Along with these are various other features which comes under UVO Remote services. What this means is you can control various aspects of the car remotely through an application. Remote engine/AC start (AT only), remote Smart Pure air on (AT only), Remote AC control (AT only), remote door lock & unlock, remote horn & light and remote engine stop are the main features.
As you can see, the first three features are available only with an automatic transmission. But we guess that would not be an issue for Seltos customers as the SUV comes with three automatic gearbox options. A 7-speed DCT, 6-speed AT and CVT are the automatic gearbox options along with a 6-speed manual.
The Seltos will be offered with three BS6-compliant engines. The petrol engines comprise of a 1.5-litre motor which makes 115PS/144Nm and the range-topping petrol 1.4-litre Turbo GDI unit, good for 140PS and 242Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, meanwhile, makes around 115PS of power and 250Nm of torque.
Other standout features are the 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and 7.0-inch cluster, 8.0-inch heads-up display, 400-Watt 8-speaker Bose Sound system, Kia Sound mood lighting, 360-degree camera, six airbags, sunroof and more. Bookings for the Kia Seltos will begin on July 16 and it will take up its fight with the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, Nissan Kicks and the new Renault Duster, with prices expected to hover around Rs 10 lakh to 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
