The Honda Rebel 1100 — that’s yet to arrive on our shores — is a good-looking and purposeful cruiser. And when you have cruisers, there are bound to be customers who look at improving the bike’s design. Just like Kijima, a Japanese accessories maker, which has introduced some interesting accessories for the Rebel 1100.

The first set of accessories are aimed strictly at enhancing the bike’s touring capabilities. These include a big Harley-Davidson CVO-type fairing up front with an integrated phone mount, extensive luggage mounts at the rear and auxiliary lights to keep things clear at night, all sold separately. 

Then, we have the huge crash protectors/engine guards which resemble the ones we’re used to seeing here.

Aimed at improving rider comfort, a custom handlebar is available too. It is 50mm closer to the rider and 10mm higher than the standard handle, hence it should result in a more laid back riding stance.

Not only this, pillion comfort has also been considered, since Kijima also offers a slim tubular grab rail-cum-backrest for the Rebel 1100. While this’ll get the job done, we think some padding would’ve made it more purposeful.

Topping all this off are the small yet important bits like a helmet lock, a sleek tail tidy kit, a handlebar phone mount with 1.5kg load capacity and a chrome Honda badge.

Coming to the bike, the Rebel 1100 is Honda’s most rebel(lious) cruiser. It draws power from a Euro-5 compliant 1084cc parallel-twin powerhouse putting out 87PS and 98Nm. Also part of the package are extensive electronic aids like four riding modes, three-level traction control, and wheelie control.

Looking at the prices these accessories certainly seem purposeful and value for the money. Sadly, these are no use for us Indians for now at least, as Honda India is showing no inclination of launching the Rebel 1100.
