With all the other supercar manufacturers trying their best to grab the eye-balls of the spectators at the Geneva Motor Show, how can Koneigsegg, the Swedish based manufacturers of exclusive supercars be left behind? To commemorate its achievement of completing 100 cars in its 10 year long career, and to mark the occasion, it presented a symbolic version of the Koenigsegg Agera S, titled “Hundra”. The name Hundra in Swedish translates to 100.
The Hundra is a one-off creation for a Malaysian customer and is finished in bare carbon fiber and gold and it took them 3-months to build it. When we say gold, it’s the real deal; the 24-karat gold leaf has been laid beautifully by an Italian artist to be infused in the carbon fiber body and the result is just stunning. Apart from the body the precious yellow metal has been employed on the exhaust, rear deck struts and even the coil springs. The designers didn’t just give the exterior’s gold treatment, the interior of the Hundra has been finished in alcantara with touches of gold trim and gold stitching apart from the exposed carbon fiber weave.
Carbon fiber has found its way on to the Hundra’s shoe as well, as the car is equipped with carbon fiber rims which weigh a measly 6.5kg to bring the weight down further. Underneath the engine cover one finds the familiar 5-litre, twin-turbo charged V-8 monster capable of producing an astonishing 1054.5PS of firepower and an equally bonkers 1100Nm of torque! With all those mind boggling numbers, the exclusive super-car has an impressive price tag too, Koenigsegg have valued it at $1.6 million! (Rs. 8.76 crore).
