KTM will be unveiling its flagship superbike, 1190 RC8 R, at the Orange Day in Delhi on Sunday, March 31, 2013. For bikers who are hoping if the RC8 would be launched in India, the Austria-based company has already ruled out any such plans in the near future. By showcasing the RC8 at the event, KTM plans to create brand awareness among two-wheeler enthusiasts in the country since many associate it only with motocross and enduro breed of motorcycles.
KTM had earlier followed the same approach, when they showcased the race-spec 350 SX-F freestyle motocross bike at the Orange Day in Mumbai (Related:KTM Orange Day, Mumbai) last month. The 2013 KTM 1190 RC8 R is powered by one of the most powerful v-twins motor on sale and pumps out 175.3PS of power along with 123Nm of torque. All this power and torque is transferred via a six-speed transmission to the rear-wheel and the bike weighs just 184kg. The RC8 will be displayed in select showrooms across the country, so all you KTM fans make sure you don’t miss it when it visits your city.
