The KTM 250 Adventure has been spotted testing yet again. This time around, we have got a clear picture of the bike’s front portion. The bike was first spotted testing a few days ago and if you’re wondering how different it is to the 390 Adventure, head here.
Coming back to this spy shot, the headlight on the 250 Adventure seems to be the same halogen unit with LED DRLs as the 250 Duke. However, the upper portion of the headlight cowl is much larger and features mounting brackets for a windshield. The rear view mirrors, too, appear to be the same as the naked while the fuel tank extensions look slightly bigger. We expect KTM to equip it with a slightly larger fuel tank too for better touring range.
The 250 Adventure rides on proper long-travel inverted fork up front. Also, the front fender has been designed in a way to act as a protective cover for the fork seals. Interestingly, the underbelly cowl is absent in the test mule. However, expect KTM to offer it in the production version and if we’re lucky, the brand might also offer a metal bash plate as an option. Another interesting addition that this bike packs is the touring-esque crash guard which looks considerably different and fatter than the stock ones in the 250 Duke. The Austrian brand could offer this as an optional accessory.
As for the launch timeline, the 250 Adventure is likely to hit our roads by the end of this year with a price tag that could range between Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom). In terms of competition, the 250 Adventure does not have any natural rivals as of now. However, the Royal Enfield Himalayan comes close with a price tag under Rs 2 lakh.
