The Land Rover Discovery HSE Luxury Edition that made its debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show, redefines the luxury SUV. It features a Santorini black paint job, 20-inch, 10-spoke rims, body coloured grille with Indus Silver surround and vents and silver roof rails. Its 256PS SDV6 diesel engine enables it to reach the three-digit mark in 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 180km/h. The eight-speed automatic transmission is tuned for improved efficiency and lower emissions.
The interiors are offered in ebony, ivory leather or the extended Windsor leather pack that covers the fascia top, instrument panel, door top rolls, armrests and pull, a new dark Zebrano layer and twist pile luxury carpet mats with contrasting edging. Also on offer are a 825-watt Harmon Kardon® LOGIC7® premium audio system, eight-inch screens and wireless headphones featuring Whitefire® technology, privacy glass and front centre cooler.
"Retaining the Discovery 4's go anywhere, do anything capability, the HSE Luxury edition takes comfort and luxury to the next level. Extended personalisation, superior equipment levels, striking exterior finish, combined with great efficiency and performance make the Discovery 4 HSE Luxury a truly desirable purchase," said Land Rover UK managing director, Jeremy Hicks.
The new model will go on sale in July 2012 with a price tag of £56,995 (Rs 46lakh).
