The Innova Crysta is officially one year old! To mark the MPV's first anniversary, Toyota will introduce a new variant to the lineup. Dubbed 'Touring Sport', the variant adds a dash of funk to the practical and sober design of the Crysta.
Let's go through what's new with the Touring Sport, shall we? First up (and the most obvious one) is the gloss red shade. Chrome on the grille and the boot lid are blacked out, and the 16-inch alloy wheels get a matte black treatment as well. Other subtle updates include chrome garnishes on the bumpers and a two-tone finish for the wing mirrors. Interiors remain identical save for some red detailing on the steering and the armrest.
Dealers have confirmed that the Touring Sport will be made available with all three engine options the Crysta gets. The engines on offer will be the 150PS/343Nm 2.4-litre diesel, 174PS/360Nm 2.8-litre diesel and the 156PS/245Nm 2.7-litre petrol. We expect the Touring Sport to be based on the penultimate VX and the top-spec ZX variant.
As far as prices are concerned, expect the Touring Sport to carry a premium of nearly Rs 30,000 over the corresponding variant. We're attending the launch event in Mumbai.
