The Lexus LC500h Limited Edition Is Inspired By Airplanes

Lexus India has launched a new limited edition of the LC500h at Rs 2.15 crore (ex-showroom), a Rs 6 lakh premium over the standard model (Rs 2.09 crore). This model, which takes inspiration from airplanes, has been co-developed by air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya. 

So, what do you get for the Rs 6 lakh premium? For starters, it features a carbon-fibre reinforced plastic rear spoiler inspired by an inverted airplane wing. Lexus says the rear spoiler will improve agility and stability. Then, there are the bespoke blacked-out forged 21-inch alloy wheels that aid in a lower drag coefficient. The grille has also been blacked out for a sportier look.

More carbon-fibre and black elements can be found inside. The scuff plate with the ‘LC Limited Edition’ and ‘Lexus’ insignia is finished in carbon fibre while the steering wheel, door pads, gear lever and seats are draped in black Alcantara. The seats and seatbelts further get a dash of tan for that contrast look.

The Rs 6 lakh premium Lexus is charging for its limited edition LC500h may seem absurd but there’s no denying it scores high on exclusivity. In fact, even the standard LC500h works well if you’re looking to stand out from the crowd. We suggest you spend the extra cash only if you want your LC500h to look stealthier with carbon-fibre and blacked-out elements.
