This will be the third time in 2021 that the carmaker will hike its prices

  • The Swift and CNG models may be exempted from this increment since their prices were hiked in July 2021.

  • The carmaker claims rising input costs as the reason for the hike.

With input costs continuing to rise, Maruti Suzuki has announced it will be increasing the prices across its model lineup, with effect from September, 2021. A specific date is yet to be determined, but we expect it to happen within the early weeks of September. Here are the current prices of the entire Maruti Suzuki lineup:

Model

Price Range (ex-showroom)

Alto 800

Rs 2.99 lakh to Rs 4.70 lakh

S-Presso

Rs 3.78 lakh to Rs 5.36 lakh

S-Cross

Rs 8.39 lakh to Rs 12.39 lakh

XL6

Rs 9.94 lakh to Rs 11.73 lakh

This will be the third price increment of 2021 from the carmaker after earlier hikes in January and April 2021. Keep in mind that Maruti Suzuki has already hiked the price of the Swift and its CNG lineup in July this year. So these models may be exempted from the increment once it takes effect in September.

Aside from this, the carmaker is preparing to introduce the next-gen Celerio soon, followed by the next-gen Alto. It is also expected to launch the much-awaited 5-door Jimny by 2022, and the facelifted Baleno that has been recently spotted in the country.
