Maruti Suzuki has been circulating an advertisement of yet another special edition model being introduced. Badged as the ‘Swift XDI’ this version of the special edition Swift is a kitted up version of the basic Ldi diesel variant of the popular hatchback.
Priced at Rs 6.67 lakh (on-road Jaipur), the Maruti Suzuki Swift XDI is equipped with front fog lamps, integrated side indicators on the outside rear view mirrors, tilt adjustable steering, rear parking sensors, remote central locking, art-leather seat covers, front power windows, illuminated door sills, wheel covers and a double-DIN audio system.
The standard Swift Ldi is priced at Rs 6.28 lakh (on-road Jaipur) and while some of the equipment the Maruti Swift XDI packs in is useful, it does command an additional Rs 39,000 on the car’s on-road price.
The diesel Maruti Suzuki Swift is available in three variants namely, Ldi, Vdi and Zdi. A fourth RS limited edition model was also introduced in Vdi trim during the month of July 2013.
