Mercedes-Benz buses expected to be launched by 2011

A bus journey has always been a tiring thing to do. No matter what the destination is and how long or short the distance may be, you step out tired and exhausted every time you take a bus. But not any more friends; for Mercedes-Benz now plans to bring its signature luxury to the bus segment too!

Mercedes-Benz India will soon be launching buses, manufactured from its Chakan facility at Pune by the second half of 2011 and in an effort to make go render comfort and luxury to everyday bus travel.

Speaking on the occasion, managing director of Mercedes-Benz India, Wilfried Aulbur said, "We are going to foray into city buses, which will be launched by the second half of 2011. Both the city bus and passenger coach segments should witness a growth of 20 per cent each year."

The company would manufacture 500 city buses per annum as well as 500 to 600 coaches from the Chakan facility. The buses will be an ocean of comfort for those who have a chance to travel in for the coaches will be well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for all its passengers. Enjoy!
