With EICMA around the corner, bike makers are sharing various teasers of their upcoming motorcycles and the latest teaser comes all the way from Italy. Moto Morini has teased its upcoming scrambler, which will be called the Super Scrambler. Apart from the name, the Italian bike maker hasn’t revealed much. However, we are pretty sure of one thing - it will be very, very expensive.
The upcoming Super Scrambler could be powered by the brand’s 1200cc CorsaCorta engine. This motor in the “standard” variant belts out around 115PS. But if we go by the name, then the Super Scrambler will have a much higher power output than the standard model. The teaser image reveals that the upcoming motorcycle will get LED headlamps, round mirrors, wide handlebars and a tiny windscreen.
Moto Morini had a short stint in India with the Vardenchi group which brought two models here: the Scrambler 1200 and the Granpasso 1200. But the fact that these motorcycles were exorbitantly priced (the Granpasso 1200 was priced at Rs 31.75 lakh, ex-showroom) forced the company to shelve its India plans. So it’s highly unlikely that Moto Morini will bring another motorcycle to India in the near future.
