The limited edition, AMG-branded F3 800 RC has been officially launched by MV Agusta in India carrying a sticker price of Rs 19.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The production of the limited edition F3 has been limited to only 250 units, out of which only nine have been allotted for India. The nine bikes have already been dispatched from the parent company for India and are expected to arrive by the end of this month. MV Agusta has started accepting bookings for the AMG-branded F3 800 RC motorcycle through its official outlets.
Speaking on the launch of the limited edition motorcycle, Ajinkya Firodia, managing director, MV Agusta India, said, “We are excited to bring in the last 9 AMG branded F3 800 RCs to India, and have already received 5 confirmations of the same! The F3 800 RC is truly a collector’s edition; as it offers not only an unparalleled blend of power, performance and handling, but each motorcycle is autographed by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti; and comes with a co-branding with MV Agusta’s partners, AMG (the high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz). Anyone who gets their hands on an F3 800 RC special series bike will be able to translate these thrills to roads and track days. The iconic branding by AMG and peerless riding dynamics of these machines underline MV Agusta's tagline of Passion Precisely Crafted.”
The limited edition F3 800 RC is a road-legal version of Team Reparto Corse's F3 800 that was ridden by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti in the FIM Superbike World Championship. Each bike will come autographed by both riders and will come with a unique ID plaque stating the limited edition serial number. The bikes will come with a two-tone colour scheme with red and white decals that follow MV Agusta’s racing bikes livery. The 250 bikes will also receive ‘AMG’ badging which owns 25 per cent stake in the company.
Under the fairing, the motorcycle is powered by the same liquid-cooled 3-cylinder motor that powers the standard F3 800. The 798cc motor is capable of producing 150PS of power at 13,000 rpm and 88Nm of peak torque at 10,600 rpm. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the bike is capable of achieving a top whack of 269kmph. The motorcycle has a dry weight of 173 kg and comes with a 16.5-litre fuel tank.
The motorcycle sports 43mm Marzoochi adjustable USD fork at the front and a Sachs monoshock at the rear with preload adjustment. Braking duties are taken care by 320mm dual discs with 4-piston Brembo calipers at the front and a 220mm single disc with 2-piston Brembo caliper at the rear. The braking system is assisted by Bosch 9 Plus with Race Mode and RLM (Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation).
