The MV Agusta F3 800, which was discontinued after the introduction of BS-IV norms in the country, is all set to make a comeback in September as MV Agusta has recently tuned its entire line-up to be Euro-4 compliant. With the new compliance in order, the Italian manufacturer has provided new water and oil pumps and a new balancer shaft. Primary gearing and drive gearing has also been changed to reduce noise levels. As a result, MV claims that the noise levels on the BS IV-compliant engine have been reduced by up to 50 percent. Emissions have also been reduced with the help of larger exhaust volumes and a new catalytic converter in the manifold, thus reducing the emission by up to a whopping 48 percent.
The F3 800 also gets an improved chassis with new mounting points for the frame. The new compliance has also resulted in a drop of 4PS, as MV claims a peak power output of 146PS. There is also eight-stage traction control offer now, which will enable the rider to have more control of the rear wheel. The F3 800 will accompany the recently introduced Brutale 800 as an entry level super sports offering from MV Agusta in India. Once the F3 returns to showrooms, expect the pricing to be higher due to the revised GST taxation.
During the Brutale 800's recent launch, the company also announced the coming of the Turismo Veloce to India, which will be powered by the same 798cc, three-cylinder motor that powers the F3 800. Read more about the upcoming adventure tourer here.
