In December 2020, Mercedes-Benz had launched the facelifted GLC with a cosmetic update and an updated MBUX infotainment system. Despite these additions, the GLC still missed out on a few essential features. Now, the German luxury carmaker has launched the 2021 GLC (petrol variant) at Rs 57.40 lakh, replete with add-ons. Of course, all the upgrades accompany a steep hike in price.

Here are the revised prices:

The 2021 GLC is up to Rs 4.82 lakh dearer than the 2020 model.

That's a lot of money, but Mercedes tries to justify it with new features like a digital instrument cluster, remote engine start-stop with pre-cooling functionality, a 360-degree camera, and front seats with a massage function to keep you relaxed on those long trips.

Mercedes Me connected car tech now lets you integrate the GLC with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, allowing you to operate certain features from your smart speaker. The navigation system displays parking locations now, making your chauffeur's life that bit easier.

Also, there are two new exterior colours on offer -- Brilliant Blue and High Tech Silver.

While these are welcome upgrades, we think Mercedes is commanding a hefty premium for the new features on offer. The updated GLC will fight it out with the BMW X3, Volvo XC60, and the upcoming facelifted Audi Q5.
