Looking essentially like a stripped-down version of the normal CT100 commuter, the new motorcycle is expected to be launched anytime in the next few coming weeks. The CT100 B looks very similar to the CT100 save for new decals and graphic options and lower rung components.
Gone are the alloy wheels, replaced by spoked wheels now. The small bikini fairing has been ditched in favour of a traditional round headlight, and the rear-view mirrors are also round now. At the back a black-painted steel pillion grab handle has been incorporated, with a small luggage-friendly carrier out back. Just beneath it is the utilitarian triangular tail lamp.
Going by the little cosmetic changes, we reckon the CT100 B will get the same engine and gearbox as its older sibling that was reintroduced a year back. That means the same tried and tested 99.27 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which is good for 8.2 PS at 7,500 rpm and 8.05 Nm at 4,500 rpm, mated to a four-speed gearbox.
The Bajaj CT 100 currently retails for Rs 35,034 for the spoke wheel model and Rs 38,034 for the alloy wheel equipped variant (both ex-showroom, Delhi). Expect the Bajaj CT100 B to be priced slightly lower than that when it is launched, which should be anytime soon now.
