New cars Launching in June 2016

As expected, after the 2016 Indian Auto Expo, a number of new cars have been launched this year. The Toyota Innova Crysta, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, and the Honda BR-V were the cars that were launched this month.Here are three cars that will be launched in June 2016.

Datsun redi-GO

Expected Price: Rs. 2.5 lakh- Rs. 3.5 lakh

Datsun redi-GO

The redi-Go is among the most anticipated cars of 2016. Based on the Renault-Nissan alliance’s CMF-A platform, the redi-GO will be a good buy for first-time car buyers. The redi-GO is powered by a 0.8-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 54PS of power along with 72Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency figure of 25.17kmpl, same as the Kwid.

Mercedes-Benz GLC

Expected Price: Rs. 35 lakh- Rs. 45 lakh

Mercedes Benz GLC

Based on the C-Class sedan, the upcoming Mercedes GLC will fill in the gap between the GLE and the GLA. It will be powered by Mercedes’ tried and tested 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 170PS of power along with 400Nm of peak torque.  There’s also an option of a 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol engine which produces 245PS of max power along with 370Nm of torque. Taking care of transmission duties is an all-new 9-speed GTronic automatic gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Volkswagen Ameo

Expected Price: Rs. 5 lakh – Rs. 9 lakh

Volkswagen Ameo

Volkswagen’s all-new offering in the compact sedan segment is set to be launched in the month of June. It was showcased just before the 2016 Indian Auto Expo and is based on the Polo hatchback. Just like the Polo, it will have two engine options- a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. The petrol engine puts out 75PS of power along with 110Nm of peak torque whereas the diesel engine is good for 90PS of power along with 230Nm of torque.
