Tata Motors forthcoming new refreshed SUV the Tata Safari Storme had been snapped undergoing testing earlier without any camouflage. But, this time around images of the car’s interior have surfaced on the web giving us a sneak peak of what the Safari Storme gets inside.

The carmaker has ditched its four-spoke steering wheel in favour of a new three-spoke steering wheel. This new three-spoke steering wheel is similar to the one seen on Tata Motor’s latest offering the Zest and the Bolt. This forthcoming refreshed SUV gets a new audio system with Bluetooth connectivity with controls mounted on the steering wheel just like the Zest.

Tata Motors has also opted for black and silver inserts on the dashboard instead of the faux wood finish that the current model features. The gear shift knob, too, receives silver inserts thus lending this new SUV a premium feel.

According to reports, Tata is considering redesigning the third row seats and could replace the existing jump seats with conventional bench style layout. Also, as an option the middle row could get more comfortable, independent Captain chairs in the top-of-the-line variant.

On the exterior front, the 2015 Tata Safari Storme receives a new honeycomb grille, which resembles the one on the Land Rover Freelander. Even the air-dam gets a similar honeycomb treatment, giving the front of the new Storme a taller stance.

Mechanically, the refreshed SUV is expected to receive an updated version of the 2.2-litre four-cylinder VariCOR diesel engine, producing 10PS more power at 140PS and 320Nm of torque, like the Tata Aria. The motor will continue to be mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The new Tata Safari Storme facelift is expected to be launched in the next couple of months and would be priced between Rs 10 to 14 lakh.
