Volkswagen launches Cross Polo at Rs 7.75 lakh

Having upgraded the Polo hatchback recently, Volkswagen India has now introduced the new Volkswagen Cross Polo with a 1.2-litre engine that produces 75PS of power and 110Nm of torque and claims to have a fuel efficiency of 16.4kmpl.
The VW Cross Polo is already available with a newly introduced 1.5-litre TDI (diesel) engine capable of churning out 90PS power and 230Nm torque.
In terms of safety features, the new Cross Polo comes equipped with anti-lock brakes (ABS) and dual front airbags, and boasts of a 4-star NCAP safety rating.
The exterior changes include a smoke finished dual-beam halogen headlights, 15-inch alloy wheels, new muscular bumpers with silver accents, redesigned front grille with chrome accent and silver finished roof rails and rear-view mirror housing. Body colour options include Flash Red, Reflex Silver and Deep Black.
The new Cross Polo now comes with a sporty leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, improved ‘Cloud Titan Black’ upholstery and the much needed climate control air-conditioning.
Speaking at the launch of the New Cross Polo, Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “With the New Volkswagen Cross Polo, we will inject some excitement into the premium hatchback segment in India. With its rugged, dynamic styling, upmarket interiors and high levels of safety, we are sure the New Cross Polo will appeal to buyers who like a bit of sportiness and individuality in their cars.”
Volkswagen dealerships across India have started to accept booking for the new Cross Polo which has an ex-showroom Mumbai prices starting from Rs 6.94 lakh.
