Nissan GT-R LM Nismo leaked

A sketch of the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo has surfaced on the web. Nissan had teased this car earlier in May this year, and reports suggest that the GT-R LM Nismo will be revealed in full guise by the company at the 2015 Super Bowl – an annual championship game of the National Football League in the United States.

The Nissan GT-R LM Nismo appears to be a front-mid-engined sportscar unlike the current crop of LMP1 cars from Porsche, Toyota and Audi. The front section of the car appears wider than the rear end, and the rear tyres also appear to be narrower than the front ones.

The mechanical specifications of the car still remain a mystery. Reports suggest that it could be Cosworth V6 Formula One engine mated to an electric motor with a total output of more than 1,000PS or a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine with an all-wheel drive hybrid system.

While announcing Nissan’s return to Le Mans, Andy Palmer, Former Chief Planning Officer and Executive Vice-President, Nissan, had stated that the company planned to win a different way over its rivals. He said that the company will not turn up in a vehicle which looks like any other hybrid but intents to do something unique.

As mentioned earlier the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo will debut at the 2015 Super Bowl which will kickstart on February 1.
