Revolt has been the biggest news of the week as it launched India’s first electric motorcycles. Yes, we were expecting Revolt to just launch the RV400 but it went one step further and brought an even more affordable option, the RV300. While the two might look similar, there are key differences between the two electric motorcycles. We have ridden the RV400 and shown you every detail there is about the motorcycle. Now, here’s a detailed look of the RV300.

The two Revolt products look quite similar. That should not come as a surprise as both models have been derived from the Super Soco TS sold in Europe.
On the RV300, you get the same LED headlight that you find on the RV400 sans the bikini fairing.
Even the fairing on the RV300 is slightly different as it does not have the scoops here.
There is no difference in the LED tail-lights or the turn indicators between the two Revolt motorcycles.
Once seated on the RV300, you’d find that there is no real difference between the seat height as well as the reach to the bars. However, the seat is 10mm higher on this bike. Nevertheless, for shorter riders, getting their foot down at traffic signals won’t be cumbersome as the RV300 is fairly compact.
Unlike the RV400 where you have to swap out the pegs to adjust the riding posture, things are a little different on the RV300. There are six different positions that can be manually adjusted without necessitating the need for too much labour.
The biggest difference on the RV300 is that you get a smaller 1.5kW Bosch hub motor powering the bike. The top speed of the RV300 is hence restricted to 65kmph in Sports mode.
Also the battery unit found on the RV300 is a smaller one. It is a 2.7kWh unit rather than the 3.25kWh one found on the RV400. But since the RV300 is a more economical offering, Revolt claims it has a range of 180km in Eco mode (top speed restricted to 25kmph).
The same USD fork as well as the 240mm disc brake unit from the RV400 are used on this bike as well.
Since the RV300 uses a hub motor, it gets a smaller 180mm disc brake. The preload adjustable monoshock might remain the same but the aluminium swingarm makes way for a box-section unit.
