Rolls-Royce India has officially launched the new Series II (Series Two) Ghost in India. The Updated version of the Ghost features new updated styling and slightly updated interior trim. Just as with the original Ghost that was launched in 2009, the new Ghost will eventually be Rolls-Royce’s most affordable and highest selling car in India for the foreseeable future.
The new Ghost features a new front look with updated headlamps and bumpers. The new LED-powered headlamp also features an unbroken daytime running light that accentuates the Ghost’s look. The large grille still adorns the Rolls Royce Ghost’s front end with the legendary ‘ Spirit of Ecstasy’ bonnet mascot, which incidentally celebrates its 103rd birthday this year.
On the interior front, the Ghost is the pinnacle of automotive luxury and comfort. The leather, wood and alcantara festooned interior can be customised in infinite combinations according to the owner’s tastes and wants. For example, the owner of a Ghost can have his initials or a more elaborate pattern like a family crest embroidered into the seats and hand etched into the wooden dasnboard. The new Ghost also gets a new central command system with a touchpad controller. Just like on a smartphone, the user can use the pinch and pull function along with other touch oriented functions to control the car’s infotainment systems.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II features a 6.6-litre, twin turbo V12 engine with an all new 8-speed ZF dual-clutch gearbox that takes the Ghost on to a top speed of 250kmph. The Ghost is available either with standard 19-inch wheels or optional 21-inch forged wheels.
