Gets a bespoke Kairos Blue with jewel-like blue mica flakes that sparkle like stars.
The Spirit of Ecstasy can be personalised with a date or location of particular significance.
Cabin receives space themed fibre-optic lighting, bespoke embroidery, and a special aluminium art that resembles a pulsar star.
Most likely powered by the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine.
Could make it to India, but in extremely limited numbers.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the creme de la creme of the Rolls-Royce lineup with an imposing design, an ultra quiet and luxurious cabin, and the famous ‘magic carpet ride’ experience. Last month, the carmaker took the typical Rolls experience to the next level with the unveiling of the special edition Phantom Tempus Collection. And now, it has made its China debut at Auto Shanghai 2021. It's safe to say, you’re in for a journey through space and time with this unique Phantom.
On the outside, you get a new bespoke Kairos Blue body shade to represent the darkness of space which incorporates jewel-like blue mica flakes that sparkle like stars under lights. The rest of the body gets black accents for contrast. A nice little touch to the Spirit of Ecstasy is that it can be personalised with a date or a location of particular significance such as wedding date, birthday, or any other special occasion.
Heading inside, you get the feeling of sitting in a space capsule. Called a ‘Pulsar Headliner’, it features fibre-optic lighting and intricate bespoke embroidery for that space-age feel. This space theme continues with illuminated stars on each door and special aluminium art called ‘Frozen Flow of Time’ Gallery on the dashboard.
Basically, it is a single billet of aluminium that’s been milled to form 100 wavy columns to represent the 100 million year period of a pulsar star’s rotational spin. There’s also an engraved plaque in the glove compartment along with a quote from Albert Einstein, "The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”
While Rolls-Royce hasn’t revealed what’s under the hood, it’s most likely the same 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing 571PS of power and 900Nm of torque.
This special edition Phantom model will be quite rare with only 20 production units. Here in India, the Phantom retails from Rs 10.50 crore to Rs 12 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The Tempus Collection should cost more considering its exclusivity. So if you had your eyes set on one, we suggest you reserve one right away.
