The ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo is one of the most coveted automotive events, not only for new cars to be showcased but also for carmakers to assess customer interest in their global models that could perform well in the Indian market. This time, Skoda unveiled the Elroq, its all-electric SUV in India.
While the Elroq is already sold in international markets, its India launch has not been confirmed yet. But there’s no wrong to expect this new Czech product on our shores sometime soon. If you’re also with us on this, here is everything that you need to know:
It features a sleek, black closed-off butterfly grille, complemented by a four-piece LED DRL arrangement. The headlights are positioned below the DRLs, and integrated into the bumper.
From the side, the Elroq showcases a compact silhouette like the Skoda Kodiaq. It is available with up to 21-inch alloy wheels, adding to its commanding presence on the road.
The rear gets C-shaped LED tail lights that incorporate animation, a signature feature in the latest Skoda SUVs. Both the front and rear bumpers feature prominent silver skid plates for an added rugged touch.
Inside, the Skoda Elroq features a contemporary layered dashboard design, inspired by the latest Skoda models like the Superb, Octavia, and Kodiaq.

It is equipped with modern features like a 13-inch floating touchscreen, a fully digital driver’s display, multi-colour ambient lighting, automatic climate control, connected car technology and an optional heads-up display. On the safety front, the Elroq is equipped with multiple airbags and ADAS.
The Skoda Elroq is available globally in three battery variants, offering different performance and range capabilities:

If launched in India, the Skoda Elroq is expected to be priced from Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It can take on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 as a potent competitor.
