We were quite disappointed by the lack of updates when Suzuki rolled out BS6-compliant versions of its Burgman Street and Access 125 scooters earlier this year. Sure, the Access got an LED headlight, but instrumentation was the same old semi-analogue affair. Now, Suzuki has rectified the issue by launching Bluetooth-equipped variants of both these scooters. Prices start at Rs 77,700 for the Access 125 Drum Alloy and go up to Rs 84,600 for the Burgman Street.

Both the Access and Burgman now come with fully-digital instrumentation that can be paired with your phone to give you turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts, among other things. This functionality comes partly thanks to the Suzuki Ride Connect app, which also allows you to find your parked scooter and share your ride with family and friends.
The LCD displays also inform you about your phone’s battery level, SMS and WhatsApp notifications, ETA to destination, and a user-defined overspeeding warning. These Bluetooth-enabled variants will be sold alongside the existing versions. Since the Burgman already has a digital LCD display, the Bluetooth variant commands a premium of Rs 3,500, while the Access’ Bluetooth variants are Rs 3,800 more expensive than their not-so-smart counterparts. Suzuki has also given the smarter Access variants LED DRLs to help tell them apart, which the standard variants miss out on. We expect these Bluetooth-enabled displays to soon make their way over to the Gixxer ranges as well.
