Suzuki Working On Twin-cylinder Gixxer 250

Suzuki has finally launched the Gixxer 250 in India at Rs 1.59 lakh. That’s around Rs 10,800 cheaper than its faired sibling - the Gixxer SF 250. It’s available in two paint options – silver over matte black which is a dual-tone paint scheme and a single matte black colour option. While the overall design looks identical to its younger sibling, the Gixxer 250 gets a couple of features that help distinguish itself.
For instance, the bikes features a bronze engine cover, an engine cowl, special machine-finished alloy wheels along with bronze highlights on the headlight and side quarter panels. It packs a bigger motor with a 6-speed transmission and a unique oil-cooling system, fatter tyres and dual-channel ABS. Other notable features include a full LED headlight and tail light, a digital instrument console, a rear tyre hugger, a 300mm front disc and Suzuki’s Easy Start System. At a price of Rs 1.59 lakh, the Gixxer 250 goes up against the KTM 250 Duke (Rs 1.97 lakh) and the Yamaha FZ25 priced at Rs 1.36 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

New Delhi, August 09, 2019: Enticing riders with a perfect amalgamation of performance, style and thrill, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. To deliver serious riding fun added with adrenaline rush Suzuki GIXXER 250 has a powerful 249cc, Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) four-stroke, single-cylinder fuel injection SOHC engine offering refined performance, along with easy to handle chassis developed exclusively for Indian market. SOCS technology adopted by the motorcycle was originally designed for GSX-R has a proven power legacy.
The newly developed engine produces 26.5ps@9000 rpm and 22.6Nm@7500 rpm power. Six-speed gearbox delivers a hassle-free ride. Suzuki GIXXER 250 is equipped with Dual channel Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) offering better braking efficiency.

Furthermore, Suzuki GIXXER 250 is an exciting proposition with a new bronze engine cover, an under cowl, exclusive muffler end cap design and wheels with machine finish.
