Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), introduced two new variants of the popular Gixxer and the Gixxer SF motorcycles in the Indian market. The new Suzuki Gixxer SP has been priced at Rs 80,726 while the faired Gixxer SF SP carries a sticker price of Rs 88,857 both prices are (Ex-showroom, Delhi). To distinguish the SP edition from the standard variant both the bikes get classic race inspired graphics with and a Gixxer SP emblem. Both the bikes also feature maroon coloured seats as opposed to the black saddle on the stock machine and get clear lens LED tail lamp that look cool.
Speaking about the launch, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, SMIPL, “We are pleased to announce our latest Special Edition variants of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF, enabling us to expand our offerings in the Gixxer series. The Gixxer is one of our most successful and admired street sports bikes, known for its powerful performance, sporty style and it has been well accepted by the Indian youth. The SP editions of the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF stay committed to the exceptional performance and ability of the Gixxer and give an edgy look to the fashionable rider.”
The Suzuki Gixxer SP and Gixxer SF SP will be offered in two colour options - Matt Fibroin Grey and Glass Sparkle Black (AR4). The SP variants will be offered only with the rear disc brake option. Apart from the cosmetic updates no mechanical changes have been made to the motorcycle. Although, Suzuki also announced that the Gixxer SF fuel injected version has been launched in select cities and dealerships in the MotoGP edition colour.
