Soon after Honda commenced its journey in the 125cc scooter segment with the Activa 125, Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd has silently updated its 125cc scooter offering, the Swish 125. As part of the updates, the Swish 125 will be now offered in new five new shades of black, blue, white, red and silver. Apart from the new colours, the Suzuki Swish 125 also features restyled body graphics and a revised instrument cluster to make it more visually appealing.
All the changes made to the scooter are cosmetic and no improvements have been made on the mechanical front. The Swish 125 is powered by a 124cc mill churning out 8.6PS at 7,000rpm and a torque rating of 9.8Nm at 5,500rp. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a CVT transmission. Suzuki has loaded the Swish 125 with a telescopic front fork and coil spring at rear to take care of suspension duties. Unlike the Activa 125, which is available with optional disc brakes, the Swish125 is only offered with 120mm drum brakes at front and rear. The Suzuki Swish has been priced at Rs 52,671 (on-road Delhi) that makes it close to Rs 4,850 cheaper than the Activa 125 STD (drum variant), which is a considerable price difference in our price conscious market.
