Who loves shiny, low-slung, carbon-fibrous hyper berserk super-sport cars? We all do! That was well the highlight of the 2012 Sympulse festival called 'The Pit-Stop' that took place at Symbiosis’ Viman Nagar campus in Pune, where students and friends witnessed an elegant amalgamation of the finest automobiles in the world.
Gathered crowds had a chance to feast their eyes at the grills and growls of these chiselled track-tools such as the Ferrari F430, the Mercedes SLS AMG, the Aston Martin Vantage, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, the Porsche Boxster, the Audi RS5, the Mercedes SL500, the beautiful Jaguar XKR and the XJL and the BMW 650i.
The festival of rides also showcased some of the finest world-class vintage cars in town such as the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and the Bentley MK VI with their elegantly drawn lines flowing down the cars' body, from front all the way to the end-pipes.
Blink-eye fast super-sport motorcycles on display got many enthusiastic-hearts racing with joy and excitement. On display was the much respected BMW S1000RR that has taken the world by storm with its performance figures, joined by the revolutionary Ducati 848 and the Monster, the feisty Aprilia RSV4, the Suzuki GSX-R1000 and the class-leading BMW GS1200 grand tour.
Vintage and classic bikes truly have a unique charm about themselves – their show stopping twin-cylinder gunning engine note gave a very familiar stylish nostalgic feel to the environment. Pit-Stop gave enthusiasts a chance to feel the vibe as they displayed those works of art – the big red holy Indian-Chief, the BMW R60 known for its reliable nature, the classic BSA Shooting Star and the Golden Flash and yesteryears’ super bike – the Norton Dominator.
It is events like these that put Pune on the map when it comes to automobile enthusiasm and we, Team ZigWheels, are pleased and proud to support the students of The Symbiosis College as they make headway into a technologically tasteful future for themselves and enthusiasts alike.
