As evident, the XTA+ trim of both models command a premium of Rs 1.3 lakh over its equivalent manual variant. However, it’s up to Rs 1.73 lakh more affordable than the top-spec XZA+, the next trim to pack an automatic transmission and sunroof. The all-black Harrier XTA+ Dark Edition is Rs 20,000 dearer than the monotone colours at Rs 19.34 lakh.
Panoramic sunroof is a feature that is gaining popularity in recent times. It makes the cabin airier and you can also open it up, provided the weather permits. Also, the Harrier and Safari XTA+ variant’s unique selling point is that it brings the sunroof and an automatic transmission in a lower-spec variant.

Besides, the XTA+ gets features such as a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control and keyless entry with push-button start.
Passenger safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, electronic stability control, and traction control. The Safari also gets a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Both SUVs are powered by a 170PS 2-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission in this trim. A 6-speed manual transmission is also on offer.
The Harrier locks horns with the MG Hector as well as higher variants of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and upcoming VW Taigun. The Safari, on the other hand, fights it out with the MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700.
