The Tata Nano was unveiled at the 2008 Indian Auto Expo and ever since, Tata has always managed to bring something of interest to the Expo. This year, the Tata stall will feature the Vista facelift and the all-new Tata Manza CS saloon. These two cars, codenamed project Falcon, will come with a standard range of petrol and diesel engines along with Tata’s all-new 1.2-litre turbocharged engine.
The facelifted Vista will feature redesigned headlights and a new grille amongst many other changes. The new Vista will also feature a completely redesigned interior with the instrument console moved to the traditional position over the steering column like found in the Tata Manza. Other changes will include new wheels, new design touches and as we mentioned earlier, a new engine.
The all-new Tata Manza CS sedan, which will be a sub 4-metre sedan to compete against the Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze will also be unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The Manza CS sedan will be an important car for Tata’s model range since we haven’t really seen any new model launches in the last few years from the Indian giant. The Manza CS sedan will feature similar styling changes as seen in the Vista facelift and will feature the same range of engines as the Vista.
Tata will also unveil a new version of the Tata Sumo Grande rumoured to be called the Movus. This new car will be placed at the bottom rung of the Sumo Grande product offering and is aimed mainly at the commercial people carrier segment. The Movus is targeted at offerings like the Xylo D2 and the Ashok Leyland Stile and will come with black bumpers and a stripped down interior. The new Sumo Grande platform will also feature a new turbocharger package and a new fuel delivery package which will improve both power and economy.
In addition, Tata motors will showcase special editions of a few of their models like the Tata Xenon, the Safari Storme and the Sumo Gold. The recently facelifted Tata Indica and Indigo eCS will also be up on display with the entire Tata Nano range including the newly launched Tata Nano Twist.
