Electric mobility is growing at an exceptional rate in our country right now. Another reason for the sudden new interest can be credited to the rising fuel prices, which has increased exorbitantly. In India, apart from the existing two-wheeler brands, some new names have also emerged to take the EV industry by storm. So, here’s a list of the top five electric two-wheelers that we think you can consider buying.
Revolt RV400
Price:
RV400 STD- Rs 1.03 lakh
RV400 Premium- Rs 1.18 lakh
Range- 150km
Of the five in the lot, the first one is an electric motorcycle, the Revolt RV400. It offers performance equivalent to a 125cc motorcycle and sports a ton of features. It gets a full-LCD instrument cluster and 4G connectivity. Once paired with your smartphone using the Revolt App, you can also check your travel history, battery health, range and the nearest swap station for the battery.
Moreover, for enhanced safety, Revolt has thrown in geofencing and keyless ignition. Now, this is more of a gimmick than a feature but the Revolt RV400 has speakers for artificial engine note that can be customised to make the electric motorcycle sound like a petrol-powered bike. We’ve ridden the Revolt RV 400 and here’s what we think about it.
Okinawa iPraise Plus
Price- Rs 1.08 lakh
Range- 130km
Okinawa Autotech is an electric two-wheeler brand that sells five more models apart from the iPraise Plus. It is equipped with a detachable 3.3kWh lithium-ion battery with a peak power of 2.5kW.

Bajaj Chetak

Chetak Urbane- Rs 1 lakh

Chetak isn’t a new name to the scooter market, however, this time around, Bajaj has electrified the iconic scooter. It features a 4kW BLDC motor and offers two riding modes: Eco and Sport. Apart from its well-rounded design, the Chetak is slightly plain Jane on the feature front. It gets an LCD screen, geotagging, geofencing and turn-by-turn navigation.
You can connect your smartphone to the Chetak e-scooter and control the music on the fly. On the front apron, there’s a small storage compartment to store your phone and a charging cable to charge your phone on the move. As of now, the Chetak is available only in Bengaluru and Pune.
