The past week was quite eventful and filled with new scoops including a launch, and other interesting updates from the automotive industry. Here’s a rundown of all of that clubbed together in this report:
Honda Amaze Get's A Midlife Facelift
Honda has given its entry-level sedan, the Amaze a refresh that packs cosmetic enhancements inside and out. Of course that has resulted in a price increment over the previous model. Tigor EV Debuted
Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the new facelifted Tigor EV. It will sit on the entry-level EV segment in the carmaker's lineup and will be powered by a 26kWh battery pack. Kia’s MPV To Get A New Variant
Kia is all set to add a new trim to the Carnival’s lineup. It will sit below the top-spec variant and will add a few updated features. It will also sit on a new pair of wheels. The new trim will be launched in the coming days. More details here.
Hyundai i20 N Line Bookings Open
With the i20 N Line set to debut in the next week, select Hyundai dealerships have already commenced the unofficial pre-launch bookings of the i20 N Line. The hot hatch will be powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and will sport a few cosmetic upgrades on the inside, outside and under the hood. More details here.
MG’s Upcoming Model Will Feature Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tech
MG Motors India has confirmed that its ICE iteration of the ZS EV will be named ‘Astor’ and will feature a few cosmetic updates along with the latest AI-based features. It will also get segment-first autonomous driving technology. Head here to check it out.
Kia Seltos Will Get A X-Line Trim
Kia has teased what it calls ‘Project X’ and from the looks of it, it could be the rugged version of the Seltos which was earlier showcased at Auto Expo 2020. Alongside the design updates, it is likely to be an automatic-only offering. Head over here to check out the full article.
Volkswagen Taigun’s Production Begins
Volkswagen has begun the series production of the Taigun and has also commenced online and offline pre-launch bookings of the SUV. The SUV is set for its launch in the coming weeks, with deliveries set to start in September 2021. More details here.
Honda City To Get A Hybrid Powertrain Soon
Honda will introduce a Hybrid powertrain option in the City in India in 2022. The powertrain will pair a petrol engine with dual electric motor setup. Head over here for more info.
