Unless you’ve been living under a rock, everyone and anyone has heard the name Will Smith. This A-list Hollywood superstar actor has been a household name for years with many memorable films under his belt. In fact he’s recently won an Oscar for lead actor in the movie ‘King Richard.’ But it wasn’t without controversy as the actor slapped fellow actor Chris Rock during the award show. That aside, he’s got quite the affinity for cool rides.
The Hollywood superstar has already made a special guest appearance at Formula One Grand Prix with some funny social media content at the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for Mercedes. With that in mind, here’re the cool rides that Smith’s got which seem quite befitting for the ‘Fresh Prince’
1965 Ford Mustang
Kicking things off is the good old ‘Pony’ in the form of the 1965 Ford Mustang. This iconic muscle car came with a beefy 4.7-litre V8 petrol mill, making close to 270PS. Thankfully, Will Smith kept the Mustang in all its retro glory, with a red paint job giving a gorgeous look.
Maybach 57S
Those who aren’t familiar with the Maybach 57S, it's actually one of the first models that marked the revival of the Maybach brand back in 2005. In fact, it shared its underpinnings with the Rolls-Royce Phantom, so unsurprisingly it boasted opulence. Key bits included Nappa leather and wood trims all inside the cabin, as well as activated massage seatbacks, power heated front bucket seats. It was powered by a 6-litre V12, making a mighty 612PS and 1000Nm. This massive grunt helped the luxury sedan hit 0-100kmph in under five seconds which was quite impressive for its time. It also exudes exclusivity as only 300 units were built, so Will Smith is one of those lucky owners.
Rolls-Royce Ghost
Having the peak of luxury opulence on wheels is pretty much a staple must have for a celebrity. And Will Smith has just that with the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Of course one of the highlights of this luxo barge is its mammoth 563PS 6.75-litre V12 motor, but the real party trick lies inside at the rear seats. Sink into premium luxury airliner-like leather seats, and watch your favorite Youtube video via the dual-screen rear entertainment system, and it's the perfect car to have yourself chauffeured around.
Bentley Azure
The Bentley Azure is another luxury offering in Will Smith’s collection, but what makes it special is the ability to experience open top thrills while still being a luxury sedan. It’s also pretty potent in performance, with a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8 making 456PS, and capable of hitting 0-100kmph in 5.6 seconds.
First-gen Tesla Roadster
Sure, Will Smith’s collection is largely luxury vehicles, but he does have some taste for speed demons as well. When Tesla wasn’t the EV giant it is today, Will Smith was one of the first few folks who had their first taste of a fast EV in the form of the original Tesla Roadster. Based on the Lotus Elise chassis, its electric motor put out 288PS and was capable of reaching 100kmph from a standstill in 3.7 seconds.
BMW i8
Aside from an EV, the Hollywood A-lister also has a plug-in-hybrid in the form of the BMW i8. This futuristic-looking sports car combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline three petrol engine with an electric motor to make 369PS power and do the 0-100kmph sprint in 4.4 seconds.
Cadillac Escalade ESV
What’s a Hollowood celeb without a Cadillac? And Will Smith is no different with the Escalade ESV SUV in his possession. It boasts a status symbol with its upright and butch stance, and is powered by a 5.3L LM7 Vortex V8 motor that produces 420PS.
Sure, this list may not completely represent Will Smith’s car collection, but it's more than enough to tell that the superstar’s got an interesting taste for his garage. What do you think of Will Smith’s collection? Drop a comment down below!
